Wire keeps breaking? (braces)?

okay i have upper braces, and the wire in the back was bent, like there was too much wire, and then it popped. now it can go out of the metal thing, and if i push it back in. does this mess up my braces? will they stop working? and why did this happen? please helppp???!!!

They are not doing what they should be if you have a loose wire.  You need to go back to the ortho right away.
