  1. its black/blue orange/brown yellow/earth

  2. So you just guessed which wire goes where?

    You must be mad!

There'll be a neutral, a permanent live & a switched live via the light switch. I would say that black is neutral, and the others are switched & permanent live. Yellow should be the switched live via the light switch, but PLEASE read the instructions or check with the maker!

ps the terminals are usually marked L, SL & N for live, switched live & neutral respectively - they're rarely earthed.

  3. Those wires are the wrong colour for the UK, get professional help.

  4. Just be careful that you don't turn the fan switch on and find hot water coming out of the tap.

Other than that, I don't think you can get idiot cover insurance.

  5. If the fan is supplied with instructions and you're having trouble interpreting these I'd suggest you contact a qualified person to help you out. Best to be safe.

  6. Did you try reading the instructions? It will say consult a qualified electrician. You obviously know nothing about it as you've put the wrong colours together, so you run the risk of serious injury to you and your family. Stop being an a$$ and call in the professionals.

  7. holy 5hit.........electrics in a bathroom and youre guessing, what do you want writing on your epitaph?????????
