Yea, when both Zunes are searching, you can send stuff to the other Zune.  My sister and I do it all the time!  It usually doesn't take much time, either.

Wireless syncing has nothing to do with sharing songs and pics with another person. Wireless sync is when you do not connect to your computer to sync your Zune but instead sync wirelessly over a wireless network. WiFi is used to share music and pics with others but that is not the same as syncing.
