Every time I try to connect, it says that "the network is not in range". But the router is closure. I would appreciate if anyone knows what's wrong here.

  1. if your router is set to secured then you need to add the SSID to you computers wireless connection config for it to see the network

  2. Try to reset the router using the small black button and then manually connect to your network. You can manually search and connect to your network by using the following setup:

    - Open control panel

    - Select "wireless configuration utility" or "wireless connections" on some computers.

This will open a scanner that shows a list of several networks in the area. If you know the name of your network, and your computer is within range of the network, you will see it in the list.

When connecting to your network, you may have to enter a password if you assigned one when you setup your router. Once the password is accepted, a wizard will attempt to connect to the router and establish an internet connection. If the wizard fails the first time or wants you to diagnose a connection problem, allow it to do so. If after several attempts you cannot connect to your router, you might have something in your network (router, wireless card, or operating systems) that are not compatible with eachother.

  3. Most likely you are seeing another network.  Check your priority for your home network in network connections.
