Wireless Connection takes long time to connect after laptop is turned on

Question

I have a HP laptop windows vista. My wireless router is Linksys WRT54G. Whenever my laptop is turned on, I have to mess with it a couple minutes before the internet comes back on.. This problem has just started recently. Is there anyway for the wireless connection to come immediatley after the laptop is started?

Your pc is probably starting up a lot of applications when it is turned on.  take a look at these applications (use msconfig- start=>Rum=>msconfig) and disable those applications you do not want to automatically start when you power up the pc.
