Wireless Insurance question about the company att?

I have a Samsung Sync that is currently not working swell. Its just that I have to put the phone on speaker when I am talking on it because the regular art doesn't work at all Like how on the cartoons when you hear jobber jabber like squeaks tThat'show is sounds I have insurance on it and I want to report the phone but I really ddon'twant it anymore I wanted to know that since I have insurance and it does cover damage phones Will I be able to get a different on PPreferablya Blackberry pearl for no extra Cost??

The reason for insurance is as a safety net for phones that are lost/ stolen or not working properly.  So long as there is no intentional damage to the phone the insurance group will replace it; you will be billed the deductible for the phone replacement.  The insurance group will only replace the phone for the same make and model unless your phone is not available in which case you will receive a similar phone (no you cannot pay extra for a Blackberry and since the Sync is still sold you will get another one).
