  1. Verify if your IP address is not static, then go to Start->Run and type cmd.

    Type the following...

    ipconfig -release

    ipconfig -renew

  2. either the information u put in the router is wrong, or the password/name of ur internet connection is wrong. this happened to me before. go to ur main computer with the router, and search for ALL of the info and make sure it is correct in the other pc u have, and if that doesnt work, go to command prompt and type in the renew function to renew it and itll work, sorry i dont know the function tho i forget... just search it on google with the good pc

  3. i had this same problem last week.

Try powering down all of your electronics on that router. Then power down the router and wait for 20 seconds. Then turn it on along with the computers. if that doesn't work,

call your internet provider and SPEAK TO A REAL PERSON. They will walk you through a troubleshoot.

  4. Unplug the router (and modem) for 10 seconds and reboot all the computers.  This will force the connections to re-establish and start working again.

    If that doesn't work:

-If the ISP provided the router, call them.

-If you purchased the router, call D-Link and they can help you.

  5. Do a "Repair" on your laptop connection to reset the IP address.  If that doesn't work, reset the Router.
