Question:

Wireless Internet on MacBook using D-Link Router?

I have tried everything in the instruction manuals and cannot get my MacBook to connect to the internet.

It detects the router, but when I open Safari, it says it's not connected to the internet.

Maybe I've just got it connected wrong to my PC and/or modem?

I can't re-configure the router as it won't let me onto the http://192.168.0.1 website for some reason

Any help appreciated!

  1. ?

  2. in your firewall did you give the IP address of the DHCP server access in the trusted zone? Plus your DNS server IP address? in your browser connection should be set to auto find IP address's. Connect internet>modem>router>pc's either ethernet cable or wireless or combo. if you go wifi encrypt and password protect to protect your internet from others in close proximity. Have you tried http://192.168.0.0, some times that your modem and sometimes router so try both.
