Wireless Modem Access Point?

I have a Motorola SURFboard SBG900 Wireless Modem, I was wondering if I could make that a Wireless Access Point, so my linux laptop could just connect to it from around the house. I'm also running Windows XP if that helps.

  1. You might be better off getting a wireless router but either way it will work.
