What is the difference between a Wireless G Router and a Wireless N Router? My Netgear Wireless G Router has stopped functioning. I need to buy a new wireless Router, any suggestions???

  1. Actually wireless N is faster and has a longer range then wireless g. But to take advantage of the speed increase you need a wireless N card.


  2. Wireless N has a longer range and FASTER transfer rates between the Router and your PC , if the PC also has a Wireless N standard card.  

    If your laptop only has a Wireless G standard card, then a you could use either router, but you will not get the addtional speed and range benefits of the "N" router.

  3. Wireless N delivers more range but has identical speed as the wireless G.
