Wireless Router Question on distance?

I have a Linksys Wireless router it's a year or two old. How much distance will it transmit up to? I live in a trailor park and I want to split my high speed with a neighbor that lives 1000 feet away from me. Will it work?

I dont think so, 1000 ft is about 5 blocks of walking. The most average length a wireless router can be connected by is about 20-40meters.
