Question:

Wireless Router help!!!! Linksys?

I cant connect to my router's IP address. When I type it in nothing comes up.

A couple days back I could, but I did this firmware upgrade and it was seriously taking hours so I stopped even though it said not too.

Did I just permanently destroy my router?

Any ways to help fix it?

I already pressed the restart button on the back but that didnt help.

  1. hi there..

what is the brand of your router

if you interrupt the upgrade.. sad to say the modem is already defective

but it would be better if you contact the router manufacturer if its linksys  they do have a special department where they can do some work around ( like a patch) to flush the firmware but most of the time its a defective

    Linksys

    Phone: 800-326-7114

  2. I've read about other people having similar issues and they were able to recover by downloading a slightly older version and re-running the firmware upgrade.

If that doesn't work I think your gonna have to call Linksys support, they may fix it for free.

    Good Luck!!!
