Question:

Wireless Router is not working...

ok, so my mother pulled the wire from the phone jack for some reason i do not know, and after that the router doesnt seem to work, the modem still does, what can i do to fix this problem? i tried putting the cd back in and putting all the wires in back in inorder but that didnt work....

  1. If it was unplugged for any amount of time it may have to be reset. Follow the directions that came with the router when you first installed it. That should put it back in working order.


  2. Unplug your router (and modem) for 10 seconds to reboot them.  Then reboot your computer(s).  You should be able to connect now.

    If you still can't connect, and you purchased the router yourself call the manufacturer.  They can help you get it working properly.

    If the router was provided by your ISP (Internet Service Provider) call them and they will either send someone to fix it or help fix it over the phone.

    If you call for support they'll probably have you reset the settings but sometimes it's as simple as unplugging everything for a second.
