Wireless Router trouble?

Hi. I have a wireless D-link router that used to work but now since i switched rooms it seems not to work i have plugged in everything but its says a network cable is unplugged. Can you state a solution thank you (Step by step please)

  1. Call the router manufacturer technical support department, they will helpyou get back up and running. Or call your internet service provider.


  2. Normally the wireless router is physically connected to your broadband dsl/cable modem with an ethernet cable.  Is this still attached to your router.  Does your dsl/cable modem have a built-in wireless capability?  If so, then you need to investigate what sort of interference might be between the dsl/cable modem and your D-link router.

  3. Make sure its hooked up correctly. Then go to the back of it with a small pencil cap or something small that you can click and hold down the reset button for about 15 seconds. Then let it power back up.
