Question:

Wireless card suddenly cannot detect any signals

My Buffalo wireless card has worked wonderfully for nearly a full year. Now, suddenly, it detects no wireless sources at all. None at home, none at my office. Typically it detects not just my own wireless signal at each location, but several others. In fact, it normally detects several signals at virtually any location (I'm in an urban area). Now, absolutely nothing. I've uninstalled and reinstalled. Still nothing. (Note: since the card last worked, I've had to send the computer (Thinkpad T61) for service - blown motherboard. The Buffalo card stayed home while the computer was away. I don't believe this to be a related concern: the motherboard actually blew and required service 2 consecutive times - on the computer's first return, the wireless card worked fine - until, of course, the computer blew up again (defective ac adapter, as it turned out)). Please help!
