  1. either rest your router or try to find the pass, there is an unlim amout of laptops that can be hooked up to your wireless router so thats not the prob.

  2. See if you can log onto the router.  To do this, go to Internet Explorer and type in to the box 192.168.1.1 (it may be 192.168.0.1).  Your going to have to email what type of router (brand and model) for me to really help you.  Try logging on with admin as the handle and nothing as the password.

Once you have that, try to find the security tab.  Chances are, its in plain text on the site.

Otherwise, your going to have to reset your wireless router (small button on the back... hold in for about 10 to 20 seconds until the lights flash on the front).

From here you will have to reprogram the router.  Also... things you should do -

Use WPA2, change your default router password and ensure that you cannot change the router remotely.

Hope that helps... I know that has to seem confusing!

    If for some reason

  3. Reset the router there is a router reset pinhole behind the router

Use a Needle or wire to depress it

    After that reset the router

You can;t find it in the computer if it was so easily that will defeat the purpose of the passkey

  4. Ask ur dad !!

  5. Google SIW and download this program on the computer that using the code currently and run this program open it up and click on I believe passwords and it will show you the password youre looking for, good luck

  6. Its called a WEP key You will need to get it from the router. Open internet explorer like your are going online. At the top where you put the address type one of these 2 addresses. 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1

Those are the most common default router addresses. Try admin for the username and leave the password blank. If your dad put in a password you will need it to get the number. If you get in click on "wireless" in the menu. You will see 3 or 4 sets of  10 numbers divded  by colons- example- 25:6D:16:B8:1H < those are the numbers you need

  7. If your router is linksys, linksys router usually save the password information on your desktop in .txt format. If you don't have linksys or u accidently deleted the file, all the router has a reset button on its bottom side, use a pin to press it for 30 seconds while the system is connected to electricity and the router system will reset to factory standard (meaning the same condition as when they shipped out of factory, no password or user name). You'll have to go through the setup process again to set up a new password for your router. But before you do this, make sure you have the installation disk or procedure. If you lost them, you'll have to go to the manufacture's website to get one.
