That icon and the icon with the double computers disappears when I'm connected. Which means I'm not able to see my connection speed and all that unless I go the long way.

Can anyone tell me how to get the icon to reappear?

Also I restored my computer, so I didn't do anything weird lately.

  1. It's usually just a property of the connection.

Go to the Network Connections.  Right click on your wireless adapter.  There should be a check box for "show icon in notification area". Same thing for the Local Area Connection (ethernet).

  2. Its an easy option to change. Right click on the icon when you see it and click properties or options. You will see check boxes when the icon appears etc.

  3. Ahh Yes. That what happens to me. Do the normal things you do first:

    1.Restart computer

    2.Turn all wi/fi routers off.

    3. Turn everything on after 5 to 10 min's.(DO this so the router doesn't remember your computer.)

    Did it work? NO?

    That's OK.

This just means that your computer has been:

1.Virused (You probebly downloaded something wrong)

    Things you can do now:

1)Don't worry you can go to Best Buy(If you are in the US) and they will clean it out for you.

2)Get a new computer sounds expensive.

3)Upgrade to win Vista.(If your not on it all ready)

    Hope I helped.
