Wireless internet On vista..?

Can i connect to a router on my vista home premeium computer without a USB adapter or a internet card. Someone told me i can do it without on vista is it true if so.. How..? thanks

  1. You need some sort of hardware.

    If it's a laptop, you *may* have built-in wireless, probably so if it came with Vista.  If not (or if you have a desktop) you need to find a network adapter - I like USB because it doesn't matter whether it's a desktop or laptop like PCI cards (desktop expansion card) or PCMCIA/ExpressCard (older/newer laptop expansion card) adapters do.


  2. If you have a machine running windows Vista, you have a machine with a NIC card built in. The interface looks like a big phone jack. Its called an RJ45 female Jack. See  Photo : http://img.alibaba.com/photo/11633272/Rj...

    You must then connect the computer to the router with an ethernet cable :
