ive heard that wireless internet is slower then wired, while im not exactly sure about everything, i have a belkin 802.11g wireless router, and i use that to connect my ps3 to the internet, is that the best way to do it, are there wires i should be using to connect my ps3 to the computer to make it more stable? thanks.

  1. I currently have my ps3 on wireless internet using an Apple AirPort Extreme and it seems to do pretty well although it does disconnect randomly...

I would say use a wired connection it's probably a lot more stable and you won't tend to disconnect quite so easily.

The only reason I'm not is because the ethernet cable needs to go from my living room downstairs to my modem upstairs and it's a pain in the butt dragging a cable everywhere  (:

  2. I'm using a wired connection. Much better, secure, stable and faster. In order to establish a wired connection - get RJ-45 (Ethernet) cable. Plug one end into your router, another into PS3 (there is a socket at the back).

  3. If you connect your PS3 to your router using an Ethernet cable (wired), it's a lot more stable, meaning you won't tend to disconnect or cut out randomly and the connection is slightly faster than wireless, because you're sending the signals straight into your PS3 instead of having it floating around, like you would with wireless.
