Question:

Wireless internet options?

by  |  earlier

I just bought a new Studio 15 laptop from Dell along with a wireless printer. I don't currently have phone or cable service. I know Comcast is offering $59/mo. for cable & internet. Is this worth it, or is there some cheaper option?

  1. $60 combined cable + internet (usually alone $50)

$15 to $50 for DSL depends on your area

$25 to $50 for wireless (keyon) depends on your area

Free Wifi depends on your area.

  2. That's not bad.. I'm paying $150/mo for phone/tv/internet combined.

Comcast is a good service, you should use them. But yes there might be some cheaper offers.

Try AT&T, Bell, none others come to mind =)

  3. It all depends on where you live.

Check with your local cable (probably comcast, unless you have others nearby), phone company, and type your city name plus the word ISP into any search engine.

I would personally stick with the "big boys" like your cable company or phone service provider, but there may be other alternatives for lower prices that will suit your needs.

Of course, you have to also consider what other services you are receiving with that (cable, phone, just internet access, all 3)
