  1. call the tech support, they will guide you step by step

  2. If you don't already know your routers password, then you won't be able to get into the configuration settings to change it.  You will probably need to reset your router and start from scratch.

    Check out these two links:

    How to reset router -

How to reconfigure your router and setup a wireless network -

  3. If you need to reset the password on your router then find the little pinhole on the router, it will have the word "Reset" stamped next to it. Push that button and connect your computer to it using an Ethernet cable. Go to your web browser and type in http://192.168.1.1 this is the IP address to your linksys router. From this you will be able to change your password, security settings, etc.

It might ask you to type in a user name and password, if have reset the router then leave the user name blank and type in "admin" as your password.

  4. You would need to find the IP Address of the gateway (start > run > cmd > ipconfig) and then go to that IP address in an internet page (put the IP address in the address bar) and it should take you to your router's own config page where you can change the password.

  5. Your routers IP is normally stamped onto the router, look at the back of your router or the side and look for the IP, type this into the web browser and [in most cases] the default username and password are both: guest, if this does not work you need to go to your routers website and find out what the default passwords are, this should at least take you to the routers configuration page
