  1. The question is too vague to give specifics, but when this happens to me it usually means my wireless router hasn't grabbed an IP address from the cable modem yet. Reset your modem, wait like 15 seconds then reset your wireless router and then reset your computer's network connection. If that doesn't work we'd probably need more specifics of your setup to give any other advice.

  2. if the router is set up to get an internet connection from your provider ( you will get internet if you plug an ethernet cable to a computer) or in the status area you see an ip not 000

then 100 to 1 its a neighbors signal drifting in

you will get a strong signal however no internet as the network adapter bounces between the two

    easy answer

change the channel from the default channel 6 to anything else

channels 1 and 11 are first picks

change the ssid from the defaults even if to add a single digit

    turn on encryption

make sure the router is high and not cluttered

100 to 1 simply changing the channel will solve the problem

if its the router , unplug both router and modem

and set the router back up again

change the channel to 1 or channel 11 from channel 6

  3. The breakdown is from the router to the internet.

Make sure the DSL modem is cabled correctly (DSL 'in') to the router.

If this is a new modem, make sure it has the correct 'username & password to access your ISP account.  That would be in the modem management section.

  4. simple your wireless router is not configured correctly too pull a dhcp thru the wan
