Wireless modem and a router?

Question

I have wireless modem that connects to my computer through an ethernet connection, can I connect this to a router? Do I just plug the ethernet cable into the router instead of the computer?

you plug in the ethernet cable in to the router and one into the coputer and then a phone line dsl thing in to the phone line filter and router

Connect the modem and the router using a Ethernet cable. then connect the computer to one of the ports on the back of the router.
