Wireless network down?

So, I have a lap top and it was connecting to the internet fine yesterday and this morning, but later today the wireless connection failed and I'm not sure why. My lap top says it isn't currently connected to any wireless networks and when I click the "connect to a network" it says it can't find one. On the desktop computer, the one that's the base for the network, the internet is working fine but it says a compatable wireless network adapter is not available. This is strange because the wireless network was working fine this morning, and nobody has really been on this computer, so I'm not sure whats up or how to go about fixing it. Help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks ;)

try unplugging your wireless router and modem for 30 seconds...like no power what so ever....restart your computer

after 30 seconds and rebooting your comp should work. otherwise its a problem with your ISP and you need to call them. or a problem with the computer but that doesn't sound like the problem
