  1. You Have to Put a password on your router lets say if you have a dlink router then you would go to http://Dlink.com and login you can change it from there and oh yeah UNLESS YOU CHANGED IT WHAT YOU LOGIN ON SHOULD BE Admin AND YOU CAN LEAVE THE PASSWORD BLANK OK Hope This helps

  2. The settings are different for every router.

  3. the safest secure wireless conection u can lock to its WPA/SYX somthin like dat

  4. You will need to set a password and choose the way the password is encrypted (encryption makes it harder to crack). The 2 main encryption standards are WEP and WPA. WPA is the newest and most secure of the two. For help setting up your network have a look at this guide from microsoft's website - http://www.microsoft.com/athome/moredone...

I would also have a read of the manual that came with the router. If you are using a router AOL sent you, it is easier to set it up through windows. I tried with the cd to make life easier and it didn't work.

  5. Set a password to access your network.  I believe you can do this by clicking on the wireless network button in the bottom right corner for all windows operating systems.  You will have to give the password to everyone in your house so they can access it, but if anyone doesn't know the password they will not be able to access your internet.

  6. you have to password protect it

  7. You can apply WEP or WPA encryption to the network, refer to your routers manual for encryption, or give more information on your router and I will be happy to look up instructions for you.

  8. WPA-PSK encryption of your WiFi network is a start. Turning off the SSID, applying MAC address filters and changing the default username and password for the router helps even more :)

  9. Whichever type you have - look for the setting for a WEP key - this will mean that every device logging into your network will need to have had that setup before they can do so.

  10. mines passworded so that you can only access it if you know it

  11. enable the encription from admin panel of your router.

  12. You need to set up a WEP/WPA key for it... If you let me know what kind of router you have I can try and find out the specifics of how to do it with your router... Is the router through your ISP because if so they should be able to set it for you..

    Hope This Helps!
