Wireless on windows 98?

i have recently bought a new laptop, so put my laptop and desktop computer onto a wireless connection, connecting to the internet!

i then decided to connect my old windows 98 computer to the wireless network using a usb adapter. The connection is there but my computer won't connect to the internet. What can i do??

  1. USB was just starting when Win98 came out. I doubt if your wireless adapter, which is likely to be USB 2,0, is supported by either the mother board or the OS.

    Your best bet, if you are determined to go wireless, is to use a PCI card wireless adapter
