Wireless router. i am trying yo hook up a lynksys WRT54G wireless router and am having problems

Question

i am trying yo hook up a lynksys WRT54G wireless router and am having problems with my connection. i was online and on the phone with linksys support. I am getting a DNS SYS 32 error, when we tried to ping my laptop i was getting a code 65 error. I have a gateway computer (4-M CPU 2.2GHZ w/512 MB of RAM and am using windows XP home edition) My computer has a built in wireless network connection- ORINOCO Mini PCI card which is enabled. Lynksys claims my computer needs some settings changed. I can sure use some help
