Wireless router not working?

Question

I have a router, and its a linksys, when i plug it in it usually works for internet, but for some reason its not connecting. But it says it has a connection to LINKSYS, but not internet. I've tried unplugging, replugging, and everything! What am I doing wrong everything worked yesterday! Please help! And try to explain clearly

" it has a connection to LINKSYS" = the link between the pc and the router works; "but not internet" = the link between the router and the internet is down. This can be caused by a lot of problems. Since i don't know how you connect to the internet or the model of your router I can only guess:

1 - the cable between the router and the wall plug is broken; try replacing it

2 - the connection settings were lost or the router was resetted;  read the router manual and your contract and input the correct data.

3 - the router has died (rarely but it happens); buy a new one and set it up with the correct data.
