Wireless router on an airplane?

i was leaving to go on vacation and i wondered if i can bring my linksys router on the airplane

i wont be using it on the airplane obviously

can i bring it on, carry on or just leave it in my checked in bag?

and also im flying southwest

  1. As a flight attendant for a major commercial airliner, I can assure you that you can bring you router onboard the aircraft regardless of which airline you decide to fly. The TSA security checkpoint might asked you to take them out of your carry on luggage for proper x-ray screening just like they do on laptop and dvd players.


  2. yes you can take it, the best place to put it is in your luggage that will go in the hold of the aircraft. you can take it on board, but it will be easier to put it into your checked luggage to save any hassle at security.
