Wireless router set up.?

Question

i have a netgear wpn824 wireless router and a sony vaio notebook ( i think its the: vgn-cr290 but i could b wrong) that i want to connect wireless internet to. my family and i all dont know what were doing so i am trying to set it up.

as i said i have absolutely no idea. i only have the router plugged in and thats about it. so if someone could give me step by step instructions that a complete idiot could understand id appreaciate it. please give details. i dont even know if i sould put the setup disc into my laptop or my pc.

I suggest you us the setup disc in a computer you can connect to the router with an Ethernet cable.  Then run the setup program.  It has all the answers.
