Wireless switch crashes laptop

Question

Hi there. Had problems recently with my laptop where Windows wouldn't start, saying hal.dll fault. I took it to be repaired but now my wireless switch crashes the laptop when it is pressed. Do I have to re-install Windows using recovery cd or is there a way to change a setting? I've already been in device manager and update the driver but still no luck.
