I presently have 2 12" kickers cvrs which comine they equal at 800 Rms and their both being pushed by a 1000 watt mono Alpine class D amp. in a 94 dodge ram.

im Not that satisfied on how its pushing my subs, because ive heard those subs pound and roar in other cars with some powerful amps.

i do not want to spend more money buying a bigger amp,

so i started thinking what if i get a 500 watt amp and wire both amps to push both my kickers at 1500 watts.

Is this a good idea would it work?

What problems can come up if i do?

Whats a good and not to expensive 500 watt amplifier?

How would these amps be wired together?

(if posiible a diagram)

Do i need another amp kit?

How would i wire my subs to the amps?

Should i get a cap or kinetik?

Please help i just want an idea on how to wire both amps together

Thank you

  1. It's usually not a good idea to wire two different wattage amps together because it would be hard to set them properly.

One sub would be hitting harder than the other and they would probably cancel each other out.

  2. Only certain amps can be connected together to combine power. Make sure you amplifer can do this because you will damage or possibly blow your amp to h**l.

When connecting another amplifier you do not need another amp kit but you will need some more cable. You already need a cap with that amp your running. Any 1.5 - 2 fareit capacitor will do for you setup. Just depends on the style you like and can afford.
