  1. If you are adding an amplifier to a car then yes the power wire needs to be connected directly to the battery.  If you cant get to the battery terminal then you need to take it to someone who can.  Batteries on cars are made to be accessible otherwise they couldn't be replaced.  You may need to buy and aftermarket battery terminal to make the connection in your car.  If you try use other wiring in your car as a power source you will blow up something. And I don't mean your amp it could be fuses or even burn the wiring in your car. Figure out a way to connect to the battery.

  2. Use the battery.  This device was made to solve your problem: http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_6231...

You can find it, or one like it, at any car audio store.

  3. Unfortunately, your choices are slim. Your two options are to run the wire like normal from the positive side of the battery. Or, relocate the battery and run the wire from the positive side. If you were to wire the amp anywhere else you would have some serious electrical problems. Or, you could actually set your car on fire. You can actually find a decent battery terminal at wal mart. It's made by scosche, comes with a sidepost adapter and will most likely fit. http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.d...
