Wiring a new energy regulator

Dear sirs,
One of the electric hobs has packed up. Upon investigation, I establish the energy regulator had burnt out rather than an element fault. Through the internet, I stumbled across a company called espares who suppled me with the part (no. 082590800). Upon receipt and when endeavouring to replace the old, I was horrified to find the new part has 4 electrical terminals (1 x brass & 3 x silver), there are only 3 wires to plug in however. It is obvious the design has moved on but I do not know which 3 of the 4 teminals to wire up. I contacted espares whostated that they do not have a wiring diagram and I should contact the manufacturer. I subsequently phoned New World who said they could not provide a wiring diagram as they did not supply the part directly to me. When I quoted the part number, the response was there was no guarantee the part supplied was the same as the part number.
I am therefore caught between a rock and a hard place. I would be most grateful if you could offer some assistance, many thanks in advance
