  1. these are normally connected to the lighting cct

  2. yes it is.

just wire as per a normal unit.

    earth neutral live.

But this is not safe, you really need a pull cord unit.

  3. A bathroom extractor fan should be on its own fuse spur or 2/3 pole isolator switch (3 if you have a run-on), It is not advisable to use a standard 3 pin plug.

  4. Yes you can, use a 1 or 2A fuse, and 3-core flex..

If it is a timer fan, then link between L1&L2 at the unit.

  5. Yes it is, but............

Your normal plug and / or socket outlet must not be in the bathroom.

After giving this question a bit more thought, my answer is don't even attempt this job, far too dangerous, either forget it or shop around for a qualified electrican to do it.

  6. it is, but its dangerous & illegal it should be taken from the lighting with a separate isolater, but hey the fact you asked means your going to do it anyway, just dont switch it on with wet hands of bbbbzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz pop

  7. yeah just connect the live to live neutral to neutral and earth to earth!

But I'm assuming you not using the unit as a bathroom fan? If you are then don't do it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
