Wiring foot pedal switch legend II

Question

Foot pedal switch broke in my Legend II and I want to verify where and how the wires go back into the new pedal I purchased?? Also, do you know if the manual talks about doing these types of repairs? This vacuum is ancient and still vacuums extremely well, I just want to be able to do the repairs.
