I am installing a downdraft cooktop, which has four wires connecting to the cooktop. The wires are green, red, black and white. The cooktop is 120/208V. The wiring from the breaker box is 120V and has black, white, and ground wires. I assume when connecting the wires that the green is connected to the ground, the white wires are connected to each other, and the black wires are connected to each other. If that is correct, where is the red wire connected to. Is it connected to the white or black wire? Thanks.
