Wiring subs to amp??????

Question

I have a KICKER S15L7 15" 08 Solo-Baric L7 SUB. Its dual 4 ohms. Then i have a KICKER 08ZX1000.1 AMPLIFIER. I need to wire the subs down to 2 ohms because then that puts all 1000 watts to the sub. cant you wire it in parallel wiring to make the sub go from 4 ohm to 2 ohm???
