Wiring subwoofers inside box then mounting?

So I have two subs that need to be wired together.

Info:

2 Kicker L5 12" (1200 RMS watts)

Dual Voice Coil 4 ohm subs

I still have to wire them together and I am keeping them at 4 ohms...

I am going to use 12 gauge wire just wondering if I connect both positive and negative strands of speaker wire to each input or output/negative or positive terminal or if I should tear each apart and only use one speaker wire for each..

Thanks

  1. If you have two DVC 4 ohm subs, and want to maintain a 4 ohm total:

First you want to connect each subs voice coils in series; run a lead from one terminals negative to the other terminal's positive.   This will give you two 8 ohm subs.

Then you'll want to connect both subs in parallel, bringing you back down to a 4 ohm mono load.

  2. i suggest you use 2 wires that you should have to tear apart
