Wisdom Teeth AfterMath?

Question

I got two wisdom teeth on my right side pulled on tues July 29th 2008. I have been eating fine since yesterday, but my jaw is still really sore to open wide. I ran my finger along my gum @ the top, and there was something prickly there sticking out. Is it normal? Could it be a piece of tooth that hasn't been pulled? Please help, and serious answers only.

Its the skin that was hugging your tooth.......i felt the same thing. Its weird. Be sure not to use a straw or to rinse out your mouth to gargle either. it will may a dry socket and pull the blood clout out!

OHHHHH those are stitches!!!!  Dont put your hands in your mouth....go rinse your mouth now with some salt and water.  You dont want to start an infection!

when i got mine out i felt that too! its so weird feeling isnt it?

it very well could be a piece of tooth but no worries. you just have to let your body push them out on its own. and it will. just takes time.

one of mine i saw coming out and i was able to pull it out. its normal. go see the dentist if it doesnt come out after a while

more than likely it is the stitches i have had mine out as welll and had a similar feeling.
