  1. Your question is a bit confusing, but I'm going to try my best to answer what I think you're saying.

    (a) It's okay to use that side of your mouth when you eat.

    (b) the reason why people extract (take out) wisdom teeth is because they can interfere the alignment of your other teeth. So, let's say you've had braces and your teeth are perfectly straight now. Well, if your wisdom teeth grow in at a bad angle, your teeth might be crooked again. And, that's a lot of money wasted.

    (c) I would talk to your dentist about when you should take them out. Are you sure they're your wisdom teeth? It's possible that they might just be your third molars. Anyway, if your wisdom teeth are out. It won't be that bad to take to take them out. I had my wisdom teeth taken out (and they had already partially come in) and I was able to eat carrots the next day and everything. I didn't even need the pain killers they prescribed me.

I really think you need to talk to your dentist about everything. Just because your mom didn't have them taken out doesn't mean that it's always the best idea. Keep that in mind.

  2. The material that wisdom teeth are made of is inferior to your "regular" teeth. They are more likely to be problematic due to decay because of it. If they grow in the wrong direction that can be painful! In the long run if the dentist says it's best to take them out, have it done so you won't have problems later. I was supposed to have it done when I was 19. I didn't and I wish I did. I have big holes back there and it's a definite hygiene problem. A few days of pain for which you will mostly be medicated versus years of pain and inconvenience: I wish I'd taken the short term pain and had them removed back in the day.

  3. I was just at the dentist this past week and he said if they are coming in and interfering with other teeth or causing crowding and pain they should come out but if they aren't causing problems then they can stay. Mine never totally came in.

  4. ok first of all if they are bothering you you'll probably have to get them taken out. Its not that bad I had them taken out a few years ago. I had surgery to get them out and even that wasn't that bad. I'm a wuss of pain too. the worst part was after it was over and that was only because I fell asleep after coming home because I was loopy from anesthesia and when I woke up my mom hadn't gotten my pain pills yet. so its not that bad. Promise.

  5. I would think this depends on how they are growing in. Mingrewre iimpacteded so they had to be removed to stop pain. But if the teeth itself are not causing you pain then no need to have them removed. If  they are the pain will be so severe that getting them removed won't even be in question!
