Wisdom teeth: Anyone have any problems when not getting them all removed at the same time?

I am going in this afternoon to have my bottom left wisdom tooth removed because it's caused overcrowding and every time i bite down part of my cheek is between my teeth. My dentist has the attitude of 'if it ain't broke don't fix it' so he's only removing the troublesome one and not the right bottom one also (neither of my top wisdom teeth have come in and probably never will according to the dentist). Anyone else been in this situation and later come to regret it?

  1. I'm the exact same, got my top left out four months ago as it was impacted and nipping my cheek when I ate.  The dentist wouldn't remove the top right as although it was also impacted, it wasn't giving me any trouble.....yet.........

Thats it now begining to cut into my cheek now so I guess its another visit to the dentist.

    Don't regret it though.

  2. i had one wisdom tooth out in january because it was poking through my gums and kept getting infected..i only got the one because i was pressed for time and didn't have the time to heal with all four. i wish i could have got all four out at the same time. then in may when i was done school i got the other three out. they were not bothering me at all but eventually they will give you problems and it is not worth waiting until you get older to get the rest out because the older you get the denser your jaw bone becomes, which means more pain. it is better to get them all out now because having one wisdom tooth out hurts just as much as having all four out at the same time.
