Wisdom teeth just out and need help please!?!?

I just got back from the oral surgoun at 10:30 am, and now it's 12:58 p.m. but I can't feel my mouth or tongue at all! When will I be able to feel my mouth and tongue again. Also I have been throwing up alot. What should I do? Please help! I'm 16 by the way. ♥

I know, it's horrible hunny...just had mine out last week. What you are experiencing is normal. You are probably throwing up from the pain medication. Call the dentist to ask for different prescription. (Turned out I was allergic to Codeine!--common pain killer)

Just wait it out and you will be fine. That is all normal stuff post surgery

I just had mine out last Tuesday. The numbness is normal. My lower lip was numb until 1 a.m that day. The throwing up is bad, though. It is an uncommon side-affect to the anesthesia,but to be safe I would definitely call your doctor and tell them you are vomiting.

Did you stop eating/drinking at least 8 hours before your surgery?If not that's why you are throwing up.

What pain-killer are you on? Some people have issues with Vicodin and dairy. If your painkiller is codeine-related it's the same case. That could be your problem. Some anti-biotics should not be taken with dairy products: [tetracycline, minocycline, and doxycycline and Cipro/ciprofloxacin, Levaquin/levofloxacin, Avelox/moxifloxacin, ofloxacin, and norfloxacin]

I hope your problem is solved and that you start to feel better soon. I don't know if your doctor told you, but don't drink from a straw for a week, and try to stay away from food with little seeds and stuff(like sesame seeds or those black kiwi seeds) or you may get a painful infection called dry socket.

Don't worry. Your mouth will start feeling more normal soon. Mine is almost back to normal today and I only have a little barely noticeable swelling. I felt normal by about day 5.

I think you're fine.  When I had my wisdom teeth out, I threw up a couple of times too.  My doctor said it was because of the anesthesia they gave me and that the nausea would wear off.  By the end of the day, I wasn't throwing up anymore.  The numbness in your mouth should wear off by the end of the day.
