Had my wisdom teeth pulled in february 2007. a year and a half later i get a bill from the oral surgeon place that said that the insurance company requested a refund from them, and they have to pay it, so NOW after a year and 8 months they said i have to pay x*x amount of dollars to them....(pay to the surgery place)...

i already have a statement from them saying that my balance was paid off, and i owed $0.00

so wtf!? can they just ask for me to pay more a year and a half later?

  1. Sounds like a scam to me too.

    # 1: Contact your insurance company and ask them if they really requested the money form the dentist.

    # 2: (If they did) Contact a lawyer to get advice. Most will give free legal counsel.

  2. dont pay it. it soundsl ike a scam. i would wait and perhaps talk to a lawyer or go into the office and ask questions.

  3. contact the insurance company and talk to them before you do anything.
