  1. heyy i had all four of my wisdom teeth taken out at the same time, they were impacted so they had to litterally split my gums in 1/2 to take the teeth out, i was put under Anastesha and i didnt feel anything, until i woke up. i was in a lot of pain but they gave me vicodin so i was okay it helped a lot i slept most of the day and couldnt eat solid food for like a week, i had to keep gauze on both sides of my mouth very painful to talk but i recovered quickly, they took the stiches out and i was as good as new, its def. worth the surgery if your in pain. good luck!

  2. I made an appointment with my dentist at his office. My gums were injected with local anesthetic, so I was awake the entire time. An assistant was present, both lower wisdom teeth were removed. This was many years ago, but the horror stories I'd heard didn't apply to me. My basic side affects were mostly extra salivating, so I spat alot. As I recall, pain wasn't bad. In fact, pain and infection around one wisdom tooth was why I had both extracted in the first place.

In your case, you'll most likely be given a pain prescription. Just see the experience as temporary.

  3. You will be sedated and feel nothing, and know nothing.

Don't listen to other people and their scare stories.

Modern dental techniques and anaesthetics mean you will be ok.

  4. I had mine done when I was about 20. It went fine. I was under anaesthetic and any pain I had was afterwards and I took painkillers for a few days. Don't worry you will be fine

  5. i had all 4 of my Wisdoms out the week before Xmas!

The actually procedure is ok. i was scared too at first.

They do usually Dislocate your jaw, but don't worry.

When you come round afterwards your whole lower half of you face will be numb! which is funny!

you may possibly feel a bit sick after too.

You'll have stitches where the teeth were removed.

It all sounds horrible but you'll be fine =)

  6. Your Put Asleep -

You will not feel a thing

People tell you terrifing stories JUST to make you worried, ignore them!!

  7. Like the other person said, don't listen to people and their horror stories.  Many people have their wisdom teeth taken out w/ no problem; you just don't hear about those stories.

The surgeon will numb your mouth up very well, so when they are removing the teeth it shouldn't hurt.  If it does, just tell the dentist and they will give you more anesthetic.  You do feel a lot of pressure and pushing, but it shouldn't hurt.

If the teeth are impacted, they may need to section the teeth before removing them, but that just means it'll take a bit longer (still won't hurt).

After you have them removed, they'll give you plenty of pain medication.  Once the anesthetic wears off, it will be sore, but that's what the pain meds are for.

You'll need to eat soft foods for a few days, but the pain normally gets better after a couple days.

    Hope that helps.
