I got all 4 of my wisdom teeth pulled out on wednesday and the usual bleeding happened and it started to stop so i took out the gauzes. a couple days passed and now today is saturday and i woke up with the taste of blood in my mouth and this large peice of skin is hanging off my top socket where the tooth was removed. I put some gauzes in and one side was fine but the other side was very bloody like it ws during the first day.. I dont know if thats normal or is it a dry socket? I also drank some water and and its really sensitive in that area. Does it sound normal? Any suggestions on how to stop the bleeding?

  1. brush with salt and rinse it will stop.

  2. Don't brush with salt.. rinse your mouth out with salt water. Make sure you don't spit, even when you brush your teeth.  Sort of let the toothpaste drip out of your mouth.  Sounds gross, but spitting prevents the healing.  Also, don't drink from straws and don't smoke if you smoke.  If you have a large piece of skin hanging that hasn't connected to anything by now, then call your dentist.  Your mouth is also 'angry' because something was done, so don't drink really cold water.
