Question:

Wisdom tooth out...??? IV?

I am having 1 wisdom tooth out tomorrow. It is impacted and I chose to do it with only local anesthetic. Will they still need to put an IV in me for anything? It doesn't bother me, I'm just curious.

  1. They won't need to put an IV in you, especially since you only need one out.  I think they'd only do that if you were getting all four out and/or if all four were impacted.

I only got 2 out at once (because I only have 2 wisdom teeth) and no IV was needed even though they were both impacted.
