Wise Dan succeeds in style in the Grade 2 Fourstardave Handicap at Saratoga
Wise Dan was the one to watch out for in the Grade 2, $500,000 Fourstardave Handicap at Saratoga which was hosted on 11th August, 2012, over the distance of 1 mile.

Wise Dan reverting back to turf romped to a 5-length victory over, Corporate Jungle, and walked home the winner.
The third place was secured by Get Stormy, who was mounted by rider Eddie Castro.
The pace of the race was set by Get Stormy, who claimed the title back in 2010. Despite the soft surface of the track, he clocked in quick fractions. He completed the first quarter in 23.88 seconds.
Wise Dan found an opening in the closing stages of the race, when he found a narrow seam along the rail in the midstretch and scored.
The winning trainer Charles Lopresti was pleased with the outcome of the race, and after it he discussed the conditions and told the press that:
“It's always a concern when you've never run over soft turf like that before."
“He's never run over it, he's never worked over it, but obviously it didn't bother him. When I saw him along the inside backing up a little bit I was worried, but Johnny said he had so much horse he could have pulled the trigger any time he wanted
to."
The Morton Fink owned runner now holds a record of 10-1-0 in 17 starts and has earnings worth $1,394,418.
In 2011, the five-year-old demonstrated his true ability when he won the Grade 2 Firecracker Handicap, Presque Isle Mile Stakes, the Grade 2 Fayette Stakes and the Grade 1 Clark Handicap.
This season, the runner has been performing particularly well when he aced the Grade 3 Ben Ali Stakes at Keeneland, and went on to finish as a runner-up in the Grade 1 Stephen Foster Handicap.
With this victory, several options have opened up for the Kentucky-bred runner. The other considerable option is the Grade 1 Woodward Stakes on 1st September, 2012, at Saratoga.
Lopresti commented:
"I know he likes this dirt track now, so maybe the Woodward, maybe the Woodbine Mile, maybe the Bernard Baruch. There's a lot of options right now.”
