Wisely fights Young as Izquierdo takes on Madadi at UFC on Fuel TV2 – UFC news
Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) completed the fight card of its second Fuel TV pay-per-view by adding two more bouts; one between Eric Wisely and Jason Young and the other being a skirmish between Yoislandy Izquierdo and Reza Madadi.
UFC on Fuel TV 2 is scheduled to stretch its octagon at Ericsson Globe Arena situated in Stockholm, Sweden. The pay-per-view will be the second in its series, the first being UFC on Fuel TV 1: Sanchez vs. Ellenberger. The Sweden special edition will headline
the light heavyweight brawl between Antônio Rogério Nogueira and Alexander Gustafsson.
Eric Wisely, infamous as Little Lee, will enter in the octagon for the 27th time. He has won 19 of his total 26 brawls and seven of them by knocking his opponents out. He has collected three of his wins by submission, and four by either unanimous or split
decision.
Jason Young, the Briton who is widely known as Shotgun, had been in a total 13 brawls and came out victorious in eight. He has won three of his bouts by KO, one by submission, and four by unanimous decision. A bird’s eye view at both men stats clearly show
that Eric has an upper hand over his opponent as far as the records and stats are concerned.
Wisely, 27, is basically replacing the injured Swedish sensation Akira Corassani. Both men are almost equal when it comes to the knockout, submission and resilience ability. The one facet that gives Young a bit of an upper hand over Wisely is his height.
Jason is 5 ft 9” whereas Eric is 5 ft 8”, which eventually gives Young large area coverage of 175.26 cm when it comes to throwing punches as compared to Eric’s 172.72 cm.
The duo of Eric and Jason will take place in featherweight division. The second brawl announced will take place between Reza Madadi and Yoislandy Izquierdo. The lightweight brawl will be a three-round non-title bout and both men will make their UFC debut
if the deal between the camps is finalised.
Reza who originally hails from Iran and currently resides and fights for Sweden has been in a total 13 mixed martial art brawls and came out victorious in 11. The 31-year-old ‘Mad Dog’ is a submission specialist and has collected six of his wins by making
the opponent submit.
Yoislandy Izquierdo, on the contrary, has been in a total of six encounters and has emphatically nailed all of his challengers. Infamous as the ‘Cuba’, the 28-year-old has won three of his wins by kayo, one by submission and two by unanimous decision. The
above mentioned both bouts have only been announced at the moment by UFC and are not yet added in the official main card. The event is expected to take place on April 14, 2012.
