Wisodm teeth pulled 2 days ago. still blood and pain ?

i got my wisdom teeth puleld two days ago. i hae been rinsing my mouth, not smoking, and didnt eat hard foods until 24 hours later like instructed. but i still haev a really sore/stinging pain and i am still bleeding. is this normal?

  1. I had all four wisdom teeth extract at the same time. The amount of pain and soreness depends on how long you wait to have them removed. It you remove them before they get infected it's different than if you have them done early.

    Mine were very infected because I waited until they HAD to come out. The dentist said he had to remove part of the jaw bone below the tooth because of the infection. So I was in pain for days afterward and had to use Vicodin. I had a pounding headache and bleeding for days also.

    Don't worry, your mouth parts heal very fast and it will stop bleeding very soon!


  2. I recently had a tooth extracted, and I had blood in my mouth still all throughout the second day... Apparently it's normal for up to 48 hours. Did you start eating food that may have caused the bleeding? My dentist suggested staying on soft foods for 3-4 days, at least, to lessen the risk of something getting stuck in the blood clot.

    If you havent, it's probably best you call the dentist back and they will have some advice for you.
